Picnic on the water
We also offer filled picnic baskets for your day out on the water, which include a variety of sandwiches, drinks, snacks, and a bottle of wine. Picnic baskets are available for 2 or more people. When you book the boat, please let us know if you'd like to order a basket (at least 24 hours in advance). Picnic baskets start at €9.50 per adult and €5.50 per child.

Please keep in mind the following conditions
- Security deposit for the rented materials:

Pay the deposit in cash at the watersports centre (at Resort Veluwemeer) or at the harbour office (at Resort Zuiderzee). You then get the cash deposit back at the end of the hire period. Allow for a maximum of 7 days for the deposit to be refunded if you have paid by card.
NOTE: You cannot pay the deposit by card at Resort Veluwemeer. Please pay in cash.
Boat deposit
The boat deposit is intended to cover:
- Incomplete return of the boat and any accompanying accessories such as fishfinder, life jackets, electric engine, etc.
- Any demonstrable damage at the end of the hire period that did not exist at the start of the hire period.
- Returning the boat dirty. (cleaning costs of € 10 are included in your deposit)
- Returning the boat late. To clarify the charges for late return of boats:
- For a "Morning" half day, the deadline for returning the boat is 13.00 hours at the latest. Returns after 13.00 = € 35.00 per hour, rounded up to whole hours.
- For “Afternoon” half days, or a full day (in consultation), the deadline for returning the boat is 9.00 hours the next day. Returns after 9.00 = € 35.00 per hour rounded up to whole hours.
Please take note of the following terms and conditions
- Boats can be collected at 9:00 hours (or if desired, in the evening, or at the end of the afternoon of the hire period by arrangement)
- The boats are hired out with a full tank of fuel
- Boats must be returned clean by 17:00 hours (on the last day of hire) unless agreed otherwise
- On return of the boat, you have the option to pay for fuel consumption with the fuel deposit, or to fill the tank
- It is mandatory for children under the age of 16 to wear a life jacket on the boat (life jackets are available free of charge)
- The hiring party is wholly liable for damage caused by accidents with the boat hired, both damage to the boat and damage to third parties caused by the hiring party.
- Happy Boats (Snoekbaars Bootverhuur B.V.), EuroParcs Resort Veluwemeer and EuroParcs Resort Zuiderzee will not be held liable for any type of personal injury to passengers of the boat.
- The boats are suitable for 5 people
- Would you like a little table on the sloop? Let us know when you make your reservation. (Not all sloops have tables)

- you don’t need any sailing license to go boating on the open waters with the boats of Happy Boats Boat Rentals?
- the boats are available all year also for recreational sailing on Lake Veluwe?
- you need a fishing permit from the moment you start fishing (also fishing on the boat)?
- you can’t have more than 3 Pike-Perches in your possession on the boat?

Rules for island hopping on Lake Veluwe
General:
- A charge applies from 16.00 hours, you are obliged to pay this.
- You may moor for a maximum 3 x 24 hours consecutively at the same berth.
- Approach and depart from the berth at a moderate pace.
- Please moor closely alongside others when it is busy.
- Please do not sail, moor or play in the reeds.
- It is not permitted to drop anchor at the berths.
Camera surveillance may be in operation at this site.
At our berths:
- Please keep dogs on a leash, you are obliged to clean up after your dog on the island.
- Do not use the berth as a public toilet.
- Music should be played at low volume so as not to disturb others.
- Barbecues are only permitted in consultation with the manager. Do not barbecue on jetties or banks. Respect the flora and fauna, do not chop or prune trees or shrubs.
- Open fires are not permitted unless the manager has made provision for this.
